I just got a 1 year maintenance few days ago but they didn't reset the message "maintenance required soon", how to turn it off without losing the MPG? I haven't reset both Trip A and B since day one.

Call them and ask them. Or if you live close, stop in. It's a pretty quick procedure... I just don't remember how to do it. Sorry.

The short answer is that it spells it out in your Owner's Manual. Have you tried reading it?

For the 2010 Liftback you set the display to Trip A, power down the car, hold the MPH/KPH button while pressing the power button. A screen will appear showing a progress bar for resetting the Maintenance Required message. When complete release the MPH/KPH button.

I am not sure with your c.

Yeah, we don't have a mph/kph button... but you did give me an epiphany... I knew I read it somewhere.

A common problem when the dealer does the reset is that they skip the first step: "Switch the display to the odometer" and end up zeroing out Trip A or Trip B.

I kept staring at the maintenence banner and knew I had just had tires rotated, my air filter was changed and glove box filter so I decided to turn off the banner myself....I tried four times....read the owners manuel....watched videos over and over and finally figured it out......duh.....

I own a 2015 Prius c4. At some point, I remember seeing a screen with all kinds of warning reminders (for oil, oil filter, brakes, tires and many other reasons to be reminded about). I can't get back to that screen and don't see any mention in the owners manual. Even the dealer couldn't help me out with this! Does anyone know how to access this screen? It's used to modify when to remind one about services. My oil service reminder has been every 5000 but I want to change it to 10,000. I originally set it to 5000 but now I can't remember how to edit this.

My owner's manual for my 2008 Prius was incorrect, as were instructions found in most places online (including here).

What worked for me was this:

Reset the maintenance reminder light on your 2008 Toyota Prius:
    1. Leaving your foot OFF the brake, press the Power button twice (2X) to turn the car on.
    2. Using the ODO button below the multi-function display, press to cycle through and stop on the ODO reading (not on Trip A or Trip B).
    3. Press the Power button once to power your Prius down.
    4. Press and hold down the ODO button, continuing to hold it until instructed below.
    5. Leaving your foot OFF the brake, press the Power button twice (2X), and continue to hold the ODO button down.
    6. Wait for the flashing dashes to disappear and your ODO reading to reappear, and then you can release the ODO button.
Congratulations! You've successfully reset the maintenance reminder light on your Toyota Prius.

I think you left that in the wrong thread. This one is for the prius c, which wasn't made until 2012 and doesn't have some of those buttons.

Oh yes, oops... and now I can't figure out how to delete it.
