I now have just over 1,000 miles on the odo and I reached a max of about 35mile range with EV non hwy driving.
I have used about 1/8th of the original tank of gas so far.
    I absolutely love the car.
It is far more sophisticated and "intelligent" than I had ever imagined.
I get so many compliments and questions.
Still have not seen another specimen in the wild here is South Texas.

So today I went to the gym and charge the Prime, 2 hours, only 13 miles. I definitely did not want to wait around 4 more hours for a full charge. And then it hit me(I'm a little slow) since I had a lot of running around to do, just charge while driving. All of our surface streets are 35 - 45 speed limits. Worked perfect! Arrived home with a 25 mile charge. Since my gasoline is free, it doesn't matter. Still got 45mpg tho.

The qualifier at the end made it work: free gasoline, otherwise you ain't savin'!
Of course if you could access a Level 2 charger, then you're looking at only 2 hours to get your full charge! Time is money!

Faaaaarrrrr Out, Dude!!! You're making me look bad, you snail!!
I think it's hysterical that we grown men are striving to be economical, rather than trying to lay rubber or blow each other's door off!. How times have changed.

I used the A/C earlier today and thought my EV mileage would go down. This car never ceases to amaze me:D

"My EV range is 34 to 35 miles."
Hmm... how did you calculate that, 6.2 miles/kWh?
    My calculation says 4.97 miles/kWh (=35/(8.8*80%).

Because 8.8kWh isn't the actual battery capacity. The true capacity is around 5.6-5.8kWh (with 6.1-6.3kWh shown on your meter due to losses)

You are commenting on very old post by EV-ish, Mar 2, 2017 . As @Tideland Prius commented, the true battery capacity used for a full range of EV is much smaller than 8.8kWh. 5.5kWh is what I use for my calculation to be conservative. I don't want to have false hope on getting better EV range then getting disappointing. BTW, you can check your daily or monthly or lifetime miles/kWh on MID. Daily and Monthly data are in Eco Log, lifetime data is on the Drive Monitor 2, as long as you have not reset the corresponding mpg from the new.
What is your miles/kWh (total average electricity consumption) on the "Drive Monitor 2" | PriusChat

If you look at my equation above, I didn't use the "whole" value of 8.8 kWh to get 4.97 miles/kWh.
I only used 80% of it which is about 7 kWh.

That's still too high. You are not charging and discharging entire 8.8kWh of the full capacity of the battery. For longevity purpose, Toyota has programed in such a way to prevent fully charge or fully discharge the battery. So, the full charge from the wall takes only 6.0-6.3kWh by L2, or 6.4-6.8kWh by L1. Of that amount, only 80-90% are actually usable for traction due to conversion loss, making real usable battery charge to be about 5.5kWh.

    6.2 miles/kWh (=35miles/5.645kWh).
