Date Ordered: 5/30/06 Dealer Ordered From (Incl. City/State): Superstition Springs Toyota, went through Fleet Dept. Charged MSRP, Fees of $289. Cheapest in the Phoenix area that I could determine. Timeframe given for delivery: 4-6 weeks+ Color: Silver Pine Option Package: #8, or 7 with aftermarket leather. Your # on Dealer's Waiting List: unknown. It's been about 4 weeks, but I knew it'd be a long time for the green. I've been offered a Silver w/Grey interior pkg 8, which is super-cool, but not me. And dark grey seats? in Phoenix? Uh-uh. And then next, a tan pkg 7, which I thought long and hard about, but for now, I'm still holding out for a Silver Pine.

My dealer used a 3rd party installer who used Katzkin seats, and my cost was $995 + tax. I've seen other people post about upgrading to leather seats after-market using Katkin, and many of them said they paid around $1000 - $1200. (I had quotes from another Toyota dealer and a 3rd party auto upholstery place that quoted me $1000 just for the labor!)

The dealer actually quoted me $1500 for aftermarket which is another reason I forwent the Driftwood pkg 7. Sure, I can get more than beige or grey, but for about $500 than a pkg 8?

Woo! And I picked up a silver pine Pkg 7 over the weekend! so now I've got to figure out what color leather I want. It actually came into Superstition Springs.. and THEY DIDN'T TELL ME. I emailed because I found a pkg 8 with grey leather coming into Camelback (which btw, will be available late July now.. ) and wanted to know if they had a bisque leather one, by chance, coming in. He said, "gee, there's a pkg 7 on the lot. " :angry: So, it had 42 miles on it, too. Bummer. And this, after I freaked out last weekend, and put down deposits at Camelback, Avondale and Big Two... oh well.. time to traipse around and ask for return checks...
I ordered a Silver with Package 4 from Big Two just shy of two weeks ago, and it's coming in this week. I thought about the interior, the Silver only having the dark grey, but I figured with the tinting they're going to do and potential leather upgrade down the line, I could live with it. Currently have a Silver 99 Corolla with a lighter grey interior, gets hot out here but I have no tint so that hurts.
