I spend much of my time around cars like that. The efficiencies and technology of racing has had a great deal to do with automobile manufacturers being able to build more efficient vehicles, the Prius included. Although a far cry from "good", my Camaro came from the factory getting 26mpg on the highway, and 12 years later it is getting 28mpg, albeit at 80mph rather than 65..., plus it does the quarter mile quicker than 12 seconds. So.. Less gasoline burned, more efifcient burning, less pollutants, and quicker and faster.... Not even remotely good by clean and green car standards, but better than when it was built, and it has been a very educational experience getting this far with it. I have no doubt that if my only interest was fuel economy I could have it getting over 40mpg. My only question is why the automobile companies are not doing this with all their cars and charging for the priviledge of modifying them?
aw man, mustangs and camaros suck so much! You guys only think about going fast in a straight line, get some balls. My friend knows this guy who has a 736whp Del Sol, and it would kick that mustang's nice person in a srteet race! And the Nissan Skyline GTR R-34 would totally whoop the mustang's nice person around a track, all american cars handle like bricks on wheels and have the aerodynamics of a Winnebago. Basically, what i'm trying to say here is that American Muscle sucks, imports are alot better. And if you maybe put some nos in a prius it could beat that crap mustang too!
Hey, we all have opinions and you are entitled to yours. The folks I usually hang out with simply like cars. It isn't about whether V8s suck or imports suck, it is about having fun, making some modifications, learning from each other, and competing in the venues we most enjoy. One thing I have learned from my years of competition is there is always somebody faster and quicker, and there is always somebody having a better day at the lights, or catching a better draft in the corners. I raced stock cars for a couple of years, went on hiatus for a decade or so, then took up drag racing as I found it to be a place where anybody in any car could compete in a fair competition, with fair handicaps, with accurate rules, and have a good time. The other thing i found was that I realistically didn't have to worry about crashing into the wall or someone else so it is an activity I enjoy that has probably less risk of damage due to accidents than being parked at Walmart. I like imported muscle as well as American. i also like the savings and practicality of the hybrid technologies and I am doing my best to educate myself on the new stuff.
is there some kinda NOS for electric motors?? maybe like a super voltage boost so you can really produce massive amounts of torque!!!!!!! maybe even a electric motor upgrade!! i've seen those EV's run faster then a viper!

well based on my experiences with looking through the videos on streetfire.net, it's obvious that gobs of power can be added to any car with NOS! They even had a lawn mower with NOS, it like mowed this dudes lawn in half the time.
lol NOS for electric motors... you could put an huge capacitor batery in the back sit with twice the voltage of the motor and at the press of a buton make the motor putt out 4 times the original power... you would need lots of NOS to do this in a internal combustion motor... about modding the electric motor of the prius i dont know what tipe of motor is, but in case of being an shunt motor you could raise the voltage on the non spining part of the motor (dont know who its spless in english)
I'm not sure how a Koenigsegg or Bugatti are muscle cars. I would've called them supercars haha. I like the Koenigsegg.
holy s**t dude, that's a supra! Supras are the best cars ever, better than skylines and lamborghinis! THe koingesfreytreusasegg is gay! They break down, never be able to drive them. But, me and my friends are putting all our money together and are gonna buy a supra! How sweet is that gonna be???

That Shelby Cobra puts a tear in my eye. Too bad it doesn't get good gas mileage, have low emissions, and can't be used as a family car (a MUST with a baby on the way). Pretty, pretty, pretty!! :wub:

And the Skyline? that's not even sold in america and the GTR is so heavily priced, it needs ot be compared with stuff in it's catagory, like a 2004 Corvette Z06 or 2005 Base Corvette, in which case the Skyline isn't quite as fast it's way too over rated for it's catagory. I appreciate all cars, not just ones from the land of the rising sun.
