Don't throw away that Prius! I think the engine maintenance items could be grouped like this. I would not necessarily call any of it an overhaul. Things you will need: Oil, oil filter, air filter changes Engine coolant Throttle butterfly cleaning PCV valve Spark plugs Things you might need: Coolant thermostat Valve adjustment Camshaft drive chain Crank angle sensor These lists may be incomplete, and I am open to additional suggestions. They specifically exclude brake system, suspension, computers, inverters, batteries, and transmission maintenance items.
