Hey for anybody interested in installing fog lights to your prius C 2012, 2013 or 2014 Amazon has them for less than $40.00 and it includes the whole lot. I already bought mine, and we'll I'm hoping someone has a guide on installing them. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
When I did mine, I used this as a guide. http://www.trdsparks.com/install/00016-47160inst.pdf Hope that helps.
Quick update, just found out my c had prewiring for the dog lamps, any help as to were the wiring goes? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I'm under the impression all our C's do, however to get power to them you'd need the fog capable stalk. I figure it's possible to find the appropriate pin/wire in the steering wheel and send whatever appropriate signal (ground?), but it may take some research. If you did, it would also enable the fog sensor in the dash to work properly as well.
This is what I'd really like to know for the 2016. I can't seem to find a stalk or instructions for anything newer than 2015.
If the part numbers match for the 2015+ and the 2012-2014 stalk, then the instructions should be the same. Using this site as a starting point, it looks like it might be: Multi-Function Switch - Toyota (84140-47161) It looks correct, but I'd look into it further. The above was just a quick check.
I traded in my C for a Odyssey and installed as close to oem fog lights as possible (only thing aftermarket was the fog light and housing...since oem costs too much) on the Odyssey. Although very different cars and mfg...the concept could be the same. It seems that for the Odyssey, the install was very easy, as it was sort of pre-wired for fog lights, but you just have to buy the harness, relay for the fuse box, fog housings, and the oem stalk. There was no need to go through the vehicle's firewall or anything. You just put in the relay into the fuse box spot for the fog lights, run the harness from a pre-wired 1pin harness to where the fog lamps will be, install the fog lamp housings, and just replace the stalk with the stalk that has fog light switch...everything cost less than $150 (since I did my own labor/research), and it's pretty much oem in nature (only drawback is can't run fog light independent of lowbeams) It seems that maybe the C could be like this (or some vehicles) if it is technically pre-wired...you'll probably just need to find the right oem part numbers.
