The sun visor in any Prius is useless when the sun comes in on the drivers side window. Toyota should design some sort of extension into there sun visors. I rigged up a smoky plastic piece held on by rubber bands, but I would surely like something more elegant then that. Any ideas out there?
below is what i have been using since 2012 in my 1st Prius, not really elegant but does it's job in lieu of Toyota having a real solution ... and i understand from many comments on this site that this has been brought up to Toyota for many years (and models) with ... nothing If the link doesn't work, search on amazon... 1 pair Gray Visormates Sun Visor Extenders to fit 2010 and newer Prius
Just ordered mine, got a reply back from Visormates asking me what year is my Prius, then got another reply saying they will ship tomorrow
interesting, i ordered mine for the Gen3 and they seem small for the Prime, when you receive them, would you mind measuring and posting here? i might order new ones if they're bigger
Bought a pair 2 months ago. Very good. Just tell the company that you have a 2017 prius prime. Shipped 2nd day.
I just now got around to taking pictures of my solution. Made from 1/8" plastic. Wrap around, so no straps. I used a small nut and bolt covered by the plastic tip from metal wire shelving for the little white handle. Then glued on some felt that was a near perfect color match.
I know this is really old (sorry) but how did you get the plastic to curl around the visor? Heat gun or something? Nice solution.
