I've been thinking about GASMIZR.

 

Prii are quite mainstream in California. One never knows if the driver is a soccer mom or a multi-millionaire driving as both do. On rare occasions, I have heard of someone getting "sprayed" with Prius repellent (look up "Prius repellent" on Youtube if you don't know what this is) in the more rural areas, (READ: Redneck) but other than that, no issues. This is my 4th and never had a problem. Sucks that there are people out there like you describe above.

 

Don't see that in NJ, but I get a lot of people riding up my butt then passing and cutting me off. Some times 1/4 mile before they exit.

I was just thinking that!! It's not a good thing to be emulating!! I haven't heard about that "Balloon Payment" in California personalized plates though.

I looked up GASMIZR but it's already taken in Minnesota. By a Cadillac!

 

I ordered an Illinois environmental plate, which should be coming soon: "PHEV." It features our state bird, the Eastern Cardinal, on our state grass, with a green background. I hope it looks nice on my grey Prime!

You scored big getting "PHEV." Photo, please, when you get that mounted. Did you get the Magnetic Grey? EDIT: (Ooops, I just read your sig. Mag Grey it is).

 

I'm thinking super subtle - getting the sequential plate from my '93 with the last two digits swapped. In CA plates are #xxx### where the first number increments slowly. It was 3 in 1993 and is 7 now. A plate that starts with 3 on a 2017 car? It looks sequential but it's vanity. I think 99.99% won't get it but I think it's funny. Maybe not funny enough for the extra fee. Added bonus of super easy to remember.
Feel free to point out the inanity. Maybe the odds of folks not getting it is really (7.5 billion - 1) / 7.5 billion.

 

Maybe it'll keep away tailgaters!

I got the Legacy style with the Yellow on Black plates. Takes me to my youth.
