I just uploaded my 2016 Prius one year review. It was a wonderful year with it. I had only a few minor things happen that I include in the video.
Nicely done, thanks for sharing! I'm just in the 4th week after trading in my 2007 Prius for a new 2017 model, so it appears I have a lot of enjoyment ahead. As much as I missed my 2007 at first, I am having a great experience thus far!
I will watch the review later - thanks for posting! So far the only issues I have is a very annoying rattling sound coming from the steering wheel column at some speeds and some specific engine RPMs. And some repetitive sound from the front brakes when braking below a certain speed. I tried to brake hard a few times to remove rust, which is quite the issue here with salt, rain, snow and cold temps, but it didn't solve it.
Nice summary Jimmy, it echoes my thoughts about my Prius too. I have also owned mine for 12.5 months and it is silver in colour as well. I do lots of short journeys and I've only covered 3300 miles so I can't achieve the excellent mpg figures you have, the best I've had on a longer run was mid 80s mpg (UK gallon) which is around 68 mpg US.
I hope you enjoy the video when you watch it. Sorry to hear about the steering wheel issue. None of that salt and snow problems where I live. I'm originally from New Jersey and back in the 70s they also used calcium chloride on the roads. I wonder if they still do? That stuff was a really bad corrosive.
Thanks for your comment and for watching kithmo. I am lucky to live in the area I do which contributes to my excellent mpg.
Thanks Gen 2 Tom I am planning an overnight car camping trip and a trip accross to the other side of the island and will film the trips. I have more Hawaii scenics and nature on my youtube channel that I don't post here on the forum since they don't have the Prius in them. It is at youtube.com/c/wonderfulwanderingtopics
Interesting thoughts. I've put 18,000 on since July 2016 and the only issues I've had is the hatch rattled and we had to adjust the pads aligning it with the car when closed. I've been loving it - have a trailer hitch installed for my bikes and use it all the time. It's got so much cargo space, a bunch of my friends are amazed and thinking about Prius' now.
