Hello, I got 2013 with 48k and since i bought used I believe it still has the original 12v battery. How long does the battery last on it? Since my car only has 48k would It be good for another few years or should i get it tested before it dies in middle of no where?
congrats! it's hard to say. the only answer i can give you is 'up to 10 years' or so. you can test it if you want. mine is a 2012 and in good shape, but i know the history. some like to replace it proactively, it's all up to you. all the best!
Somewhere between 3 and 10 years. In our climate zone, it ought to be roughly in the middle of that, assuming the battery has not been previously traumatized by being accidentally drained. It wouldn't hurt to test it. If you have a digital voltmeter available, use that. But now that spring is arriving, I wouldn't be overly concerned, as the rising temperatures will be easier on it. Arriving winter is when weak batteries typically go bad. Though they can fail at any time.
