Disassembling dash

    Hi. I have a Prius 2016 (base model).

    I have obtained all cables/harnesses... needed to upgrade my head stereo. I am quite confident with this part. However, I do not know how to disassemble the dash to get to the head unit. Could not find anything here or on Facebook. Did anyone ever disassemble their dash? Thank you.

    There are illustrated, step-by-step instructions in the Repair Manual, available by subscription to toyota-tech.eu. The subscription prices start at € 3 for one hour, and you can print (or with Google Chrome, Save as PDF) as many pages as you like.

    The Repair Manual has several thousand topic pages; you might look under these headings first:
    • Audio / Visual / Telematics: AUDIO / VIDEO
    • Vehicle Interior: INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL

    One more question. I managed to get almost everything I need. However, I still haven't found a discription for all the sockets behind the stereo (which socket is which - please see attached image). Any suggestion to discover how that can be found. ? Thank you

    Thought this might help. Video shows how they take apart the dash to install their Beatsonic mirror display unit. Basically the steps you need to change out your headunit

    Step by step visual instructions.

    Thank you. It is great to visualise the interior before destroying... I mean disassembling my dash.
