Soylent said >>would be driving BMW's if not the Prius.<< While I respect your opinion I have to disagree with you. I personally would MUCH rather be driving a Prius! Thank you! Tom - KN6VV <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Soylent @ Jun 20 2006, 11:47 AM) </div>
Video Game Producer. Wife does Public Relations for...Video Games! I miss living on Long Island (born and raised in Southampton; the 'poor' part ).
I'm currently a systems administrator/engineer for a large University in North Carolina, and I'm about to quit and embark on a new career. I accepted a position with the U.S. Department of State to join the Foreign Service as an Information Management Specialist. After initial training for the better part of a year I will go on two to four year tours of duties abroad doing computer support in U.S. embassies and consulates.

I work as an in-house Graphic Designer and my better half is a professional Photographer. We just drove down to Philly on Monday to grab a 2006 Magnetic Gray (package #6). It was literally rolling right off the truck when we got there. We searched for four weeks trying to find that illusive color because they told us it would be 2 months to order one. But thanks to PA we have our car!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Saffron @ Jun 23 2006, 10:30 AM) </div> I'm from NJ originally (Marlton, just outside of Phila.); now live in RI.
I've worked for a civil engineering firm in Madison, WI. for 30 years... Hopefully will retire in 3 years (if the stock market cooperates!)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(rebbi @ Jun 18 2006, 09:14 AM) </div> Hope you get yours soon! I read every other page and thought I'd see more faith-vocation posters ... I'm a pastor and my wife who actually drives the Prius more than me is a Professor, she currently teaches Pharmacology. In previous lives, LOL, I was a Structural Engineering Tech, HS Mathematics Teacher and Non-Profit Executive. So in a way we're keeping the science and tech persona of PC users alive, but I would bet the predominant career is mostly a reflection of whose online! b
I feel exceptional!!! Have not have any other locomotive engineers reply here! My car is green, and at work I drive mostly electric vehicles of very high HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a retired airline captain, currently teaching astronomy at a local college, for fun and profit! <---- That was my main ride before the Prius (L-1011.) The car is more like a 757 with its glass cockpit! Alnilam is the center star in Orion's belt, between Alnitak and Mintaka.
