Insightcentral.net has Honda Insight IMA discussion. Some Civic Hybrid discussion as well. I really hope you do not own a Civic Hybrid. Friends don't let friends buy Civic Hybrids.
Part of the reason I still spend time at Prius Chat, even though I admittedly no longer own a Prius, is that as far as a whole picture automotive community, covering Toyota news and random events, it remains one of the most vital and active automotive sites I know. It's a real asset and value. To be able to post questions about Prius, Toyota, etc, etc... and get real answers from a large community of participants. Without naming names, I now spend some time at Honda Fit Forums. Where the reality is questions can be posted and may be ignored for days, garnering little response. It's kind of sad to see the "Newbie" questions get posted and a forum return "crickets" . If a question or observation is sincere, that seemingly never happens at Prius Chat. Maybe part of it is age demographics. But the discussion in the Honda Fit Forum is much more active around what I assume is younger owners. Many more posts about lowering the vehicle, adapting suspension, and cosmetic changes...that I think appeal to a younger crowd. A little more mature bent...in Prius Chat and in conversations about Prius. For whatever reason. Prius Owners seem to be a very active and communicative group. And that's a good thing.
This is a really good forum. I recently started visiting another forum for a different topic.Although there is good advice, it is sometimes difficult to find due to all the bickering & power plays. Recently I gave some advice I said I found online. A particular user took offense because I did not give them credit. I only remembered the advice and that it worked for me, not who gave it. I think i will only visit that forum occasionally, with direct questions. Too many drama queens.
Temple of VTEC is a pretty big Honda/Acura forum. The Temple of VTEC - Honda and Acura Enthusiasts Online Forums > IMA/Hybrids I am preaching to the crowd but PriusChat tends to be a more mature forum (knowledge, not age). As others have observed, members here are willing to help out and answer questions without the usual forum bickering ("it's in the manual, find it yourself" or "we've already discussed it once, go search it on your own"). Members here tend to go the extra mile and put in effort, whether it's finding the information (posting the page number in the manual, drawing or searching for an image to supplement the response or willing to try different experiments as they drive on the road). Also, the Prius tends to attract a certain crowd (as does any car) and we're lucky that the Prius crowd is intelligent, thoughtful, caring and mostly tolerant of other people and member, regardless of age (members age range from 20 to 70!)
Uhmm what about the dogs? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app. They bought a Prius and so they are..here. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I've owned a couple of Hondas (not hybrids) and they were both very nice cars.Prius is just...different. Most any topic presented might come up in a different car forum, but with less incentive (for me) to respond. Tellin' ya, it is a very odd thing that has not yet been explained well.
