I have played around with the scheduler and cannot get it to work. The interface is simple. Ive tried departure time and start time schedules with climate prep on or off. Doesnt matter. The battery doesnt charge unless i charge it immediately. The charge port blinks and the first blue light on the dash is solid blue when i plug in the cable confirming its aware of the scheduled event. Not sure if the first blue light on the dash is suppose to be solid blue.
This might sound stupid, but did you make sure you set the AM/PM correctly? I know I've been bitten with this before. Unsupervised!
I am not certain why the scheduler is not starting the charging. I know that climate prep only works when the car doors are locked. I garaged my Prime and did not normally lock my doors and it would charge, but climate prep did not work until I locked my doors. Some thoughts on the charge scheduling are to make sure when you plug in that the green light on the charge port flashes a few times. I use the departure time myself and it works but I think I needed to schedule the departure >= 6 hours from the current time or else the window for charging was not large enough and if i recall correctly the charge did not begin, I will test that later today. When I have a departure time scheduled my dash blue light remains on solid to indicate the current charge level for a few minutes and when it begins the charging each blue light flashes until the battery is 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 full while the previous blue lights representing the portion already charged remain solid, you will notice this when you perform an immediate charge and it is the same with a scheduled charge.
thought of that and yes. Even tried setting the time to start withing 5 minutes while watching it.. doesnt charge.
Thanks Cave Arnold - I read your post a couple of weeks ago and the doors are locked each night when attempting to schedule a charge. I normally set for departure at least 9 hours before the set time.
HA! PROBLEM SOLVED. Clock was set to PM. Changed it to AM. I should be good now. Thanks for your assistance!
