I live in Upstate New York. The winters can be quite cold and snowy. I was wondering if anybody is getting on a single charge 25 miles during the cold weather. I noticed now that the weather is warm I'm getting 30 miles on a single charge. I was also wondering if anybody that lives in a warmer climate guess 30 plus miles on a single charge?
I posted this in another thread, showing the crazy NJ weather in February. You must have had colder. In cold weather 25 is good. Like you I'm waiting for warmer weather.
Welcome Ed! I'm in Southern California and when the weather was 65 to 75 and not running air conditioning, I was getting about 36 to 36.5 EV only range. Now ambient temperature here in Anaheim California is averaging 75 to 85 degrees and I'm using air conditioning which reduces the EV only range by about 1.4 miles. I Drive mostly surface streets around 40 mph to 45 mph. Freeways are crowded here so I drive about 50 to 65mph; I usually don't push it. It is really fun to "stealth" past other cars and trucks once in a while, though; the Prime is smooth, quick, and quiet. Enjoy! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
