We haven't had a UFO thread in awhile

Galactic scale is 10 to 100,000 light years. We haven't the foggiest notion how to travel that far. Some ET probably do though.

What always troubles me is why would somebody go to all that effort and then ??? Play volleyball in the desert? Troll pilots and radar operators?

As a matter of personal belief, of course they're out there. But why come here? And, what to do upon arrival?

Real alien craft would likely have a plasma fuzz around it. Should also be very smooth, as pointy parts really make for unstable force field distribution.

Physics still rules, even if we haven't figured it out.

Bess Truman refused to live in the White House. She claimed that she had seen ghosts and the place was haunted. In a letter to Bess, Harry Truman actually mentioned the ghosts:

"I sit here in this old house and work on foreign affairs, read reports, and work on speeches — all the while listening to the ghosts walk up and down the hallway and even right in here in the study."​

Charles Hall mentioned that the reported sighting was consistent with a visit by a Tall White guard. They look almost human, but their skin is paper white. While they're 5-6 feet tall during most of their lives, they grow taller in their later years, up to 10 feet. They use an electronic tool that can hypnotize humans, as well as share thoughts. While not telepathic without the electronics, their natural audio range is more like a dog than a human. Thus they can voice communicate with each other using a pitch so high that humans can't hear it. Their protective/levitation suits emit a white light, and allow adults to float maybe a foot above the floor. Children tend to be more adventurous, maybe going to several feet. A guard would probably be willing to go even higher.

The Tall White base at Area 54 looks like it was constructed about 1950 using standard American materials. Perhaps the Tall Whites wanted to negotiate the base with Truman.

Bess didn't see ghosts. She could have seen the Tall White guards and/or negotiating team. The Tall Whites could easily have gotten past the security arraignments of the time.

Time to FOIA the Truman library...

I find it interesting that JUST as every human on the planet starts carrying a camera everywhere, yeti, bigfoot, and UFO sitghtings dry up.

 

Article at SFGATE on March 24, 2017 says there are an increasing number of sightings recently.

California is the top state with most UFO sightings, say UFO experts - SFGate

Of the 120,000 sightings in the period 2001-2015, 16,000 were in California. Runners up were Florida, Texas, Washington, Pennsylvania, New York, Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.

The SFGATE article will probably go away, so if you really want to see the data, the book is UFO Sightings Desk Reference: United states of America 2001-2015 by Cheryl Costa and Linda Miller Costa. $40 for the paperback.

 

Just throwing this out there - IF extraterrestrial, why do UFOs need lights?
