right. to me, that's the only fair comparison. taxes, fees and etc are different state to state and even dealer to dealer. when someone says, i paid 'x' for my car, they usually mean just the car, although some do mean everything, which makes no sense to me, unless you're going to the same dealer for the exact same vehicle.

If you are a DIYer then this is cheapest way to convert Hybrid into plug-in. I have done so- and *when it worked* I enjoyed benefits of going anywhere from 10-20 mi on full charge. When Robb is available his support is great- if not you are totally screwed.

    regards,
    Kishore

Nowadays (Oct 2017) I recommend people in Colorado just buy a Prius Prime. You can get a $28k Prime in some places (NJ/CT/NY) for $24.5k. You then get $4500 federal tax credit, and CO residents get another $5000 state rebate. That means a BRAND NEW FULLY WARRANTIED PHEV PRIUS FOR A NET COST OF $15,000. (sorry if you don't live in CO)

It doesn't make sense to spend $5-$10k installing finicky aftermarket equipment into a 10 year old car when you can get a brand new car for a bit more cash. (assuming you can sell your old Prius for more than $0)

    The correct spelling is
    ENGINER.

You have and orphaned system with little or no support. You are pretty much on your own now that the Enginer forums are shut down.

Unfortunately if you are not able to troubleshoot and Repair it yourself, you will simply have a boat anchor/lawn ornament.

I'd be happy to talk with you during the week. Feel free to call.

I just called Enginer from their website, the attendant insists they are still and will be in business.
