Probably a good decision. Go with Cusco, can't go wrong

    food for thought:
most braces of that nature are designed to withstand forces directionally. flexing a beam with a finger is fine, as that's usually the case for OEM braces, as long as they're able to withstand load (compression/tension) longitudinally. the rest is really consumer impression. with that said, i haven't had any personal experience with braces for a prius :p. take carbon fiber for example, very brittle and easily shattered in one direction, very strong and stiff in another.

also, i feel like most of the responses to the OP's question missed his intent. he wants comfort, and implied a setup more comfortable than stock. stiffer springs wont get you there, and i cant think of any coilovers on the market that will get him there. koni's a solid choice, but i feel like that'd be comparable to stock, not better. you'd have to ride on air then imo, minus any swapping with OEM parts from other models :p and comfort is for the most part in the shock, not the spring, so looking simply at spring rates won't do you much good. a well tuned 5k spring will ride and handle (doh, i mentioned handling) better than a cheap 10k spring/shock setup

hence the references to koni, which makes shocks not springs

The point and the value of that brace is to tie the upside down "U"channel walls across the opening of the "U". Try stretching or compressing that bar. That is the intent of that brace.
