Any of you with roof rack noticed deep humming noise while going between 36 to 40mph? I know there is a hummimg noise on highway speeds.. Bot not enough to bother me. Anyone took off their racks? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I can't tell you how noisy they are i have them removed right before i took possession of the car...and they are seating in my garage.... The way our roof was designed with aerodynamic in mind ..that will be normal to expect....There is really no roof racks That act quite good with roof design we have Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Yes, they make noise. Have them on my wife's Prime Advanced. I had the dealer install them since they came with the cars package. I hated them on the drive home. BUT since my wife drives the car all the time she insist's on keeping them on. Why??? Because she likes the look of them and says it makes it easier to pick the car out in a parking lot. We'll never use them but a Happy Wife leads to a happy life!!!
You are spot on in that matter... I might use them to get a 2x4 from home depo or if i eventually get a ski rack for my 2x trip to VT. I wanted them and the low humm dosent bother me. Plus music is always on.. Thanx for the reply Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
