    I just got a samsung a970 phone for my wife....and she keeps getting the out of range message as well. I have an LG VX8100 that seems to work fine. She makes a lot of calls from the car...so I need to get her a different phone....any idea when the firmware upgrade will be available?

    The funny thing is, the Sprint version of the same phone, the a960 has had the fix for the bluetooth issues for a while, and while I understand BREW is very much a pain to work with, I can't see why it would take an additional 4+ months for them to release it. You're better off going with a non-samsung phone, and the Prius doesn't seem to like them too much. Get the 815, that's a killer of a phone.
