    Now it is 22 days...

The deal is that my wife gets to park her Gen III Prius in the garage beside the Firebrid from November 1st through April 1st each year. (That is to say as long as we live in this house.). The planned retirement house near the beach will have two separate 2-car garages. One for modern cars, and one for projects. ETA Spring 2020.

    Happy wife = Happy Life.

Somebody at work today suggested that I should have converted an old Pinto to a hybrid instead of my Firebird.

Sounds like a good supportive office:(.

I told some of my fellow coworkers about my recent "race" in the Prius Challenge and you can imagine the comments:rolleyes:.

Keep up the good fight (y).

Today's purchase. $50 USD for the pair. New ones cost $250.00 each. They're not perfect, but are plenty good enough to make the extensions for my fenders.

Slight change in plans. Going for an over-night trip this weekend. Progress on the Firebrid will start a bit later than I thought. However, the over-nighter is generating more funds for the project!

Are you building this to give away?
Don't tell me you are going to put sponsorship decals on it like an old race car!

LOL! No, it will look as close to showroom stock as I can make it, considering the nose will be 4 inches longer and the car will sit a little higher.

Welding, body work and getting it moving under its own power this year. Paint, trim, interior and final mods in 2018.

LOL again! I sold $1.4K of collectibles from a previous hobby to a dealer. So far, my old hobbies have paid 100% for the Firebrid project. The household contribution has been $0.00.
