Pulling the fuse for the player and letting it sit for five minutes and then reinstalling always worked for me the times it has happened. Once, just coming back a day later worked.
I had no luck trying several times to reset the stuck CD error by removing the cabin ACC fuse beneath the steering wheel. To remove a stuck CD caused possibly by a broken ejector mechanism (?), put some double-sided tape on one side of a very thin ruler/straightedge (thin like 1/32 " or 1mm), insert into the CD player several inches with the tape side down, press the eject button, and the CD should be pressed upward inside the player into the tape. Pull the ruler out and it will draw out the CD with it.
