I can't find what the vertical LED headlights are and how to turn them on. The Manual doesn't identify them.
They come on with your headlights come on. The top half of them are your turn signal lights. #1 in Easley,SC
Do you have the Prius Prime Plus or Premium? When you turn your headlights on and turn your Hazzard lights on, what do you see come on for your vertical LED lights? On my Advanced, which is pictured, shows what comes on with my headlights and fog lights are on. The top vertical LED lights are turn signal or Hazzard lights. #1 in Easley,SC
Dalcon95, Why are you driving on your side ??? I have a Premium, therefore, I don't think I have Fog Lights. OK, I'll recheck my Turn Signals and Hazzard lights. Where you're showing 3 vertical LEDs on, how do you get the other Vertical LEDs on?
The other vertical lights are turn signal/Hazzard lights. I decided to save on my tire wear by going sideways. Lol. Actually for some reason the picture loaded that way even though the picture was taken and is saved on my phone correctly. #1 in Easley,SC
The 3 white LEDs at the bottom are the "clearance lights" and are only available on the Advanced model. The rest of the vertical lights are your turn signals as dalcon has said before. Just turn on your hazard lights and get out of the car, you'll see them. @dalcon, couldn't you rotate them inside the photo album of your phone? I know my phone does that some times if it doesn't detect that I rotated my phone. I just manually rotate the photo from the album.
The photo was displaced on my phone correctly and I have posted it on here before correctly, but for reason it loaded it this way this time. Lol #1 in Easley,SC
Just say your Prius Prime is so powerful that you were in a heavy banked turn. We'll all understand, and smile, at your awesome accomplishment.
Picture rotation can be a real can-o-worms. Since upgrading to Win 10, transferring pics from my iPhone has become real "interesting". I've sort-of cobbled a fix, for pictures at least. For videos: I just resolve to take video landscape only, with the phone's volume buttons oriented towards the ground. With Win 10, the only way I can reliably get images oriented correctly: import them with all windows "correct orientation" options OFF. Install a freeware image rotation program, then right-click a folder with images and apply it. Option to fix a folder and folder with it's sub-folders are offered, but only the single folder option actually works, lol. Info: JPEG AutoRotate to fix rotation of jpeg's downloaded from iphones JPEG Autorotate - software - Olli Savolainen Also, if you're posting on a Windows system, Win7 or higher: look into the (built-in) Snipping Tool. Very handy for screen grabs, and what you see is what you get. Whatever's captured in Snipping Tool is automatically in Cipboard, and pasting while in the Priuschat "more options" editor will always insert the clipboard image. I've attached a rotated image, if you want to patch up the rotated posting. Or not, if it'll increase tire wear, lol.
Tideland, There is room for 9 LEDs vertically. I couldn't get the top 2 to light. The next 4 are the Turn Signal/Hazzard. And I couldn't get the bottom 3 to light. Since I have the Premium without the Fog Lights, that explains the bottom 3. What about the top 2?
It could be a situation where not all the lights are used on all the trims, but they're there just to make the trims uniform for the ease of manufacturing. Sort of like the concept of buttons on the dash for Advanced trim, but a black cover in the same spot on the plus trim, instead of making a whole new dash panel without a hole for a button. Just an idea. #1 in Easley,SC
We need someone to figure out a modification to add the accent lights in the bottom 3 empty slots on a Plus or Premium trim. Maybe the top two empty positions too? I feel like that might look odd so other mod option would be to add LEDs in all the spots including the turn signal (share the space, if possible) and turn off the accent lights on that side when using the turn signal as some cars do.
