The Chicagoland Priuschat Group will have a Meet-up on June 17th or June 24th. This meet-up will occur at Grossinger Toyota and just might last most of the day. Without his permission, I would like to share with you something from Danny: That's right, boys and girls. Our very own Danny will be arriving into Chicago to purchase his very own Prius. As some of your know, Danny does not even own a Prius. We can be there when he takes delivery. This way, we can make sure he does his pre-delivery checklist correctly, check the oil level in the pan, and verify proper over-inflatoin of the tires. Additionally, as he indicated, Grossinger is willing to make this a full-day Hybrid Event complete with show-n-tell and a bar-b-que. Grossinger Toyota Map: [CLICK FOR MAP] We will work out the contact information and times as the date approaches. So mark your calendars for both weekends. As we all know, the exact date of car delivery can fluctuate and even though Grossinger says early June and Danny has already incorporated a buffer week or two, we might not know the exact date until mid-May. There's no proof, but it's possible the event might look a little something like this:
all this time and he doesn't have one?!!! Man alive, why did he wait so long? Hopefully my car will be fixed, I wanna go to this! (even if its not I still wanna come)
Yeaaah for Danny I'll be there to show and tell about hybrids, especially our Prius. Is it OK if we know more than the salespeople? Wayne
Hi everyone...it's TJ over at Grossinger. I have to admit, I am very exicted for the event and for Danny to finally get into a Prius! I will try to keep everyone posted on the event. The date is going to be more like the weekend of July 1st. Not sure of all the logistics as of yet, but I will definitely let you know. I am trying to get some things from the Toyota Regional office for the event...we'll see! Hope to see everyone soon!

Anyway, apparently he's scheduled to pick it up early July, but the actual date probably won't be known until the last minute (my Prius arrived over two weeks early, I got a call on the day it arrived). July 22nd (?) is the big deal at Madison, probably a lot of folks from here will go to that as well.
Actually, no news is bad news. The date has been pushed to the weekend of July 15th. I'll be posting a thread with more details very soon.

Its been through every franchise hotel chain and settled for this name, based on its color. Lincoln avenue has some great restaurants including Lou Malnati's Pizza (Chicago Style) and a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant named Woods. So much to see and do, I would cruse downtown in your new Prius, up the Magnificant Mile, with a stop at Navy Pier. Maybe catch a ballgame (Cubs or Sox) and enjoy Chicago's hospitality.
