Ordered mine Tuesday so now the waiting begins. Asked about tinting and salesman told me where they sent it to get it done and that i would be better off going there myself once it arrives.

That is where the great quake happened. I worked a flooding Red Cross disaster down there and an ice storm several years back. Enjoy the car.

 

SAMPROCAT, there is a new you tube clip called ...2017 Prius Prime | walkaround.
It was made a couple days ago by Baxter Toyota in Lincoln, NE. I features a red Prime with roof racks. Could that be your car before you picked it up? If so, your car is famous now.

 

Going to vent: (warning...sad story ahead)
Ordered my car Nov 7th 2016...said it would be hear early to mid Jan. That did not happen.
Then it was suppose to be made Jan 30th, arrived Feb 15th, processed Feb. 23rd and here late Feb/early March. That did not happen.
Then it was suppose to be here (for sure) March 7th thru 10th. That did not happen.
So today I text my dealer and said the pioneers crossed the country quicker than this and is the car actually real.
He said it was on a train in Lincoln, Ne yesterday (50 miles from me) but had to go to Kansas City and be inventoried there, then put on a truck to Omaha. So now it will be here March 15th thru 20th.

I have two other dealerships with cars on site. I could have one today. But I am going to play this out. Why, I don't know but I am. The damn car had better not be a lemon.

Other than that we are getting 6 inches of snow tonight after having bad tornados last week.

Pearl Prime

 

FYI the hood on Pearl Prime had a scratch and dent on it when I got her home from the dealer. She was only 2 days old and I noticed it only after washing her. This damage may have been there when I drove her off the lot. The dealer is wiping their hands clean. I am asking Toyota to warranty this damage. Still haven't heard back.
Tell me again what color, interior and model your getting??

Suburban Toyota in Troy Michigan has yet another Prime for sale.

Took about four months for my local dealership to come around. They are willing to put in an order for a prime. Now they're saying 4 months vs. the 7 months that told me a few weeks back. Oh, and not $10,000 over the sticker that some other local dealership has been trying to get away with. No added accessories. Sticker minus any incentive that comes along at the time of delivery, and a trade in price that was not terrible. I believe that would save to sales tax money as well. Mulling it over right now before I part with the $1,000 check.

Today's special bonus: the salesperson asked if I wanted to see some examples. I was shocked of the prospect of Primes actually being at the dealer at the time, as this was a cold call visit on my part. There was a blue Premium, and a Mag. Grey Advanced with black interior with no added accessories right there to play with (the exact spec I want) -- yet, both were spoken for. Nice to see one in the flesh, and it gave a lot of legitimacy for the dealer to begin getting familiar with the model.

I also got an insurance quote on the Prime Advanced from my insurer. $38 more (for 6 mos.) than I'm paying right now for my 2010 hatchback. I didn't expect it to be only that difference. Maybe they don't know about the radar emblem, windshield or rear window costs? Ooops, they do now, if they read this.

Tempting, to say the least. What the heck am I waiting for? Hmmmmm.

 

Just brought home my Red Prius Prime Premium today. I was sick of talking to dealerships in Wisconsin, and started looking on line all over the country. Found lots of them in northeast, and California. Researched locations and inventory, and found a dealer in west NY. DORSCHEL | TOYOTA | 3399 West Henrietta Road, Rochester, New York 14623. They had 9 of them on the lot in almost all flavors.
I called, and worked with a Mark Fujimura. They had a $2000 Toyota regional incentive going on, and he took about another $350 off list, with no hassle. I left home Thursday morning, closed the deal fri, and got back sat night. I think the incentive is on until April 3rd. If you do contact him tell him Terry said he was great to work with, just want him to know he was appreciated. I guess he has been there 20 years. There are lots of other dealers in NY, MA, MD, RI etc, with lots of primes. Dorschell was the one closest to me with a nice variety to choose from. But now they only have 8.
Also I drove out there with and traded in my 2010 Red Prius.

 

Yes but it was missing couple other things....now it is all mine
