I gave this a 10 second half-hearted effort without an easy success at the dealer. In my gen 2 I can remove the headrests and fold the front passenger seat flush with the folded rear passenger seat. This is nice when I have long cargo. Can you do this in the Prime?
95 views and no owner has tried this yet? Am I the only one who makes pretty regular use of this capability?
Lee, I will be happy to try this when I get my Advanced in 6 to 8 weeks! I can't believe that someone isn't curious/helpful enough to check this out for you.
I also made this video a while back that shows you the trunk and back seats ... that Mike Dee is referring to in terms of the drop from the cargo area to the back of the backrow seats once they are folded down
So with a little padding, it looks like wannabe campers could be right at home if they're already comfortable sleeping in their LazyBoy recliners. Hey, are there storage pockets in the backs of the front seats?
Thank goodness I read this post this morning… IMG_20170428_185924 by Janice N posted Apr 29, 2017 at 1:16 AM IMG_20170428_185916 by Janice N posted Apr 29, 2017 at 1:16 AM
In the Gen 2, you could even fold the front seats flush with the unfolded rear seat cushion. Can you do THAT in the Gen4/Prime?
No, the front seat is higher than the back seat bottom. But the back seat folded meets the front seat back.
True. I missed the word unfolded. There is a photo of that in post 4 too. https://attachments.priuschat.com/attachment-files/2017/03/121357_2017-03-06_10.40.41.jpg
Lee, Thank you for researching this. Have you found any way to get this done? I have even considered finding out if the previous model's seats would retrofit into the new Prius models! I would love to purchase a new Prius, but I cannot if the front passenger seat won't fold flush with the back seat.
