NYS through NYSERDA is about to implement the up to $2000 rebate for electric vehicles/plug ins which was approved in 2016 legislation. From what I have been able to glean the (1) rebate will NOT be retroactive, (2) will be applied at point of sale(at the dealer and stackable with other current rebates) and (3) will go into affect prior to the April 1, 2017 date. The NYS rebate for the Prime will be $1100. With the $4500 federal tax credit, the current $2000 dollar Toyota prime rebate and the $1100 NYS rebate the Prime is looking very attractive.
