I just purchased a 2017 Prius and am trying to connect my phone through Bluetooth. Media audio works fine, though the pause button doesn't have any effect. I can dial a call through the Prius system, but the audio doesn't play through the speaker. Instead I have to hold the phone to talk and listen, which sort of defeats the idea of it being hands free. My phone is a 2016 Motorola (Moto Z play), so I don't think the phone is the problem (though who knows, as complicated as they can be) Any suggestions? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
In the Bluetooth Setup menu, can you separately connect the phone for Audio, Music and Internet? Does it show Music connected but Phone not? if so, enable Phone. Report back.
Hmm this seems to indicate that phone may not be compatible... Entune Connect! Presuming a 2017 Prius v and your on Verizon... Hopefully others can chime in and correct me if I am wrong...
I find the Entune Compatibility matrix to be incorrect for Nokia and AT&T, in the sense that many of the features and apps stated to be 'unavailable' work perfectly, right out of the box, using BT network sharing.
Weird fix. I asked my son-in-law to look at it, and when he got in the car it works fine. The only thing I can think of is that I had turned the Bluetooth off on my phone and then turned it back on. I am guessing I had changed some settings on my phone, and they did not take effect until after I turned it off and on. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
