Title because im looking to fit a bike and some other stuff with the seats down Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
With the seats up, I've gotten a couple of weeks worth of groceries in it. Seats down, 4 days camping supplies and a night's worth of firewood.
I moved almost 3000 km away with my Prius C. It was loaded with a big suitcase, a bunch of boxes and many little things. Basically, all my posessions Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
One hell of a big gas barbecue, boxed. The guys at the loading bay were skeptical. I was skeptical. It almost didn't make it, too high, but they put they're backs into it and in it went.
2 dogs .... a Bassett hound and a greyhound pic mix with a week and half worth of traveling luggage and then drove over 4200 miles in a week .... I love my car but man the sits are not too comfortable after a few hours and it REALLY struggled to get above 50 in the Rocky Mountains ... I literally had the pedal all the way to the floor and barely hit 50 mph iPhone ?
Just yesterday I got a 48x26x2 (inches)cardboard box into the car, but it went in the side and angled up above the cargo cover. If you have quick release features on the bike you can remove and maneuver what would work, and I have a folder that is yet untried.
I do subcontractor deliveries in my 2015 PriusC Three. Thusly, I have tons of experience dealing with cargo area and dimensional weight. I can state categorically that 25"x25"x25" are poison dimensions for the PriusC.
I was able to fit a 50gal water heater with the trunk door closed. A Weber Spirit e210 gas grill in the trunk and a gas power washer in the passenger seat. A razor gokart and 2 razor 360 tricycles.
Went on an IKEA binge with the C. With the seats reclined, I was able to fit: a 72" long Besta TV stand, a Boksel coffee table, the large Gersby bookshelf. iPhone ?
My old kayak (can't remember how long the kayak was - probably 9 to 10 ft) I was inconvenient and un-elegant, and I am not doing it again.
I've gotten a 55" TV in. I've also brought home 8' pieces of wood trim from the hardware store completely within the car. I've also managed a 10' piece of galvanized pipe with it somewhat out the passenger side window... Felt like I was jousting. Haha. iPhone ?
I had two bucket seats from a 91 Jeep Cherokee in the cargo area with my seat in its normal spot. I'm pretty sure you can haul almost anything in a Prius C.
Hate to bring up an old thread... but has anyone got a twin sized mattress in their "C"? I'm not worried about length just width. I've had full sized 36 inch doors with jambs fit. but wondering about the mattress. Update: a standard twin size mattress easily fits in the Prius C Two...
I wish I had pictures, but when I had my 2012 Prius, my wife and I fit a full size new couch (in the box) in the back from Ikea. We folded the seats down and it barely fit in – we had to take off some of the packaging's outer layers. I had to use a bungie cord to hold the tailgate down as it only closed halfway. Best part was the family next to us cheering when we got it in there! Drove 120 miles home like that. Edit: I got too excited to make my first post and now realize this is a Prius C forum, which is my current car.
