I have just heard from Toyota UK Head Office that the UK will have no Parking sensors fitted on the lower spec Prime/PHV, and an optional Parking Pack will be available but that will provide Rear sensors only. Seems odd and I will double check this with them. But does anyone know how easy it is for dealers to retrofit front Parking Sensors on this car? Does the revised front end cause any extra difficulty in retrofitting front sensors compared with Gen4? Also does anyone know the cost and availability of the Intelligent Parking ECU and how easy or otherwise it is to fit and set up the car to use it? Thanks.
This is not addressing your questions. However, I was wondering if the decision to exclude the front sensors in UK may have something to do with some of us having sensor error message in heavy weather. The error seems to correct itself in dry weather in a day and it does not occur regularly for my case, but is very intrusive and annoying when it is happening. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Wow ... I was wondering if it was just me but I'd swear the system just wasn't working in the heavy rain. If someone changed lanes in front of me the car would speed up laid it didn't see the new car in the lane.
I think you are talking about the radar cruise sensor. That's a completely different bit of hardware and it is known and stayed that radar won.t work in some weather conditions. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Anyone any thoughts or experience that niche help me with this question?? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Ps Confirmed that the parking sensor spec is as stated above and no option to add factory fitted front sensors. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
