Its starting to warm back up during the day here and I am running into an issue with my A/C. The car is reading outside temp at 70 degrees and it feels even warmer in the car. I have my system set on auto with the temperature set for 65 degrees but it blows warm air on fan speed of 4 or 5 through the floor vents. I set the temp lower at 60 and it does the same thing. The only way I get cold air is to set it to "low" where it blows full force cold air through the dash vents. Any ideas why it isn't automatically blowing cold air on a low fan setting when set to 60-65 degrees? Edited to add: I just had the airbag replacement recall in the dash. Could the mechanics have disconnected some sensor during the replacement?
IIRC, someone a while back had a similar issue, though it might have been with a third gen: the system would blow cold air, but only if set to "low".
Due to the holiday today I was able to leave work a little bit early and run to the dealership to have them take a look. I was right, the inside temp sensor was disconnected during the air bag recall. Everything is working like normal now. Just a heads up for anyone else experiencing problems after the air bag replacement.
