Any recommendations for a trunk cargo net? Was thinking of trying the following one from amazon. Height from cargo clips to floor is only about 10 inches, this model seemed like a good one to try because it was rather short.

meh, I can't seem to get a link to post.. Google amazon Zone-Tech-Three-Pocket-Storage

I haven't really looked at them much myself, and I don't know about cargo nets in particular, but I gather that PriusChat has an accessory shop? Point being, maybe something interesting there...

I have a somewhat similar Toyota-made accessory in the tailgate of my Gen-2, and I've found it fairly useful. I don't know if they're making anything semi-equivalent for P.Prime.

Getting an aftermarket such net would have to have a pretty exact set of dimensions, I would think...

Probably the most useful (Toyota-made) trunk accessory, has been the four-grocery-bag-sized … canvas box-like thing. (Hard to describe in a short phrase like that!)

I have an OEM Toyota cargo net and it is great. It comes with mounting hooks. Very easy to install.

There are 2 cargo net: envelope cargo net and horizontal cargo net. From the description it's not clear which one is mention.
I think the hook for envelope cargo net is removed or changed in Prime.

All of the attachment points for cargo nets are gone from the Prime (at least the Advanced package).

I find the fold out hooks useless. Reusable cloth grocery bag handles just fall off, they are too low to hang the bags from anyways. I can't see anyway to use them to attach the old envelope horizontal cargo net without some permanent attachment that would lose the ability to fold them up.

I ended up buying a rectangular folding cargo tote box from Amazon to hold the grocery bags. Not as nice as the old horizontal net.

Thanks for your input Tom. Mind sharing which tote you went with and do you use your hard cover or not? I have a premium with the tonneau cover so I have a but more flexibility.

    I got this one:
. Unfortunately it is a bit too high to close the Advanced's "rigid" tonneau cover over it. Might work with yours, but a grocery bag is taller yet. Not much fits under there with the raised trunk deck.

Before we traded in our Prius V for the Prime, we removed the cargo net and the hooks that were used for it and put it in our Prime. We took our the plugs where the hooks were in the V and put them there. It is true that there is nothing on the bottom of the truck to anchor the bottom portion of the net but it still is better than having things float around in the truck.

Thanks for this info. I too removed the net and hooks from my 2012 Prius before trading it in. They do work in the Prime. I removed the two plugs and installed the hooks in there. I was worried that it would get in the way of the cargo area cover but it works fine. I will look into ways of securing the bottom.

Do you have a photo of the net in place that you could post? I'd really like to see what you did with the net and the placement of the hooks.
