Removal of steering wheel controls

    I'm looking to take off my steering wheel controls to wrap them. Do I just rip the horn cover off or pop them off? I'm worried about deploying air bags or are those thoughts unfounded?

    pop off the airbag.. then there are 4 screws that hold them in.. 2 on each side.
