Title is self explanatory and in response to most reviews saying the Prime is an improvement over the Gen 4.

I really think the rear of the Gen 4 looks sleeker than the Prime. The Prime's rear is bubbly and makes the car look wide.

Lastly I think the front of the Prime looks nice but I do not believe the clear coat grill will hold up.

I don't like the guppy mouth look of the Prime's front end.

I'm yet to see a PRIME - the way TOYOTA is talking, I probably never will.

I also much prefer the look of the standard Prius. The only part of the prime I would like is the headlamps as they look pretty cool.

I like the tail lights better on the gen4 than my prime, but I like the front headlights on the prime :)

I agree. I like Prime, but prefer the edgier styling of my Gen 4

I pretty much agree with what everybody else said, Gen 4 front with Prime headlights & Gen 4 rear.

Only as long as we do not get the "Big Bad Grille" treatment!

In agreement with everyone here. The headlight are a nice touch. Wonder if anyone would do a facelift with the Prime front end on a Gen 4?

I think my prime looks alright. We have enough prius haters in the world who think any prius is ugly so..

The back is alright, but the "big black mouth" is a big turnoff for me.
That is my personal opinion, though.

For a counterpoint, I cobbled together front/rear views of a 2010. What I see, is a design with some flair, but still rooted in functionality, low-key, demure:

I would have to get mine in black, so the big gaping mouth is not so obvious: [IMG]

Prefer the Gen Four body; that is what I own and love. But it would be fun to have a Gen Four with the Prime's electric features and about a 200 mile range, wouldn't it. Visited my first Tesla showroom (in San Jose last week), and it was a blast dreaming about an electric car with a range of over 300 miles. But the Tesla S is larger than I want, so my Gen Four is just fine and at 25K was about a quarter of the souped up Tesla S price. We did see the new, sexy big BMW electric car on the road, and that is a real looker! Makes the Tesla S look a bit old. It all comes down to what design works for you.

I prefer the "angry" front of the gen 4, but I like the headlights of the prime. I like the rear of the Prime a little more than the z taillights of the gen 4, but the gen 4 looks better when the taillights are on. I hate the grille and black front of the Prime. But the fog lights look better on the Prime.
