Hi guys, wife and I just bought a Prius C One and I noticed when I lock the doors the car doesn't beep like other Toyota's (and other brands) do. Is there a way to have the car beep when I lock the doors from the keyless entry fob? The owners manual doesn't seem to mention anything about it.
welcome! do not know if it's dealr only, but you can try scrolling through 'settings on the mfd and look for it. i'm not familiar with c.
G'day, Mine (2016 model, right-hand-drive) beeps once when locked by key or door-handle or rear-door-button, and the orange indicator lights flash. When unlocking by key or door-handle or boot-lift pad, two beeps and light flashes. This behaviour is in my manual. Do you get beeps when unlocking? If yours is not beeping as per manual, get it checked/fixed by your dealer. David S.
Mine is a trim level one, and there's no beep. Nothing to change in the settings either. You are beep-free. The only indicator will be the turn signals/hazards flashing when you lock and unlock.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Sorry for asking the silly question but thanks for confirming what I believed to be true.
No worries man...I had a little "beep envy", but it's gone now. I just watch for the single flash and walk away.
I could have sworn that you can change beep or no beep in the deep down settings on your main Entune screen? I seem to recall turning beep off when I brought it home?
Since you have a trim One, I assume you have no smart key system. Here is what the manual says: The owners manuals can be found at 2015 Toyota Prius C Owners Manual and Warranty - Toyota Owners
