How can I change the center console cover? I don't think I need instructions on how to actually *change* the cover, but more, how can I take the cover off? I can't seem to even detach my "lid" from my center console cover. I've seen some other instruction videos that clearly illustrate how to do so on the older generations of the prius, but nothing for the gen 3. Also, I don't simply want one of the center console covers that simply slides over the entire center console, without actually being installed. I'd like something that looks more professional than that. I've found these covers that seem to do exactly what I'm looking for... But how do I install them? Somebody here has to know I guess I can't post a link yet... But... Search for the following on eBay: Armrest Center Console Leather Synthetic Cover for Toyota Prius 2010-2015 Gray Thanks in advance...
I just want to change the fabric to something like the posts on eBay I mentioned. So I think I just want to take the cover off the lid, remove the fabric, and glue / staple new fabric in. Problem is, I can't seem to get the cover of the lid off :/
I'm interested in this too. My armrest must have a crack and it squeaks with pressure! So I was thinking to take it off, maybe glue the crack, and maybe also change the fabric to something with some padding Is this the one you found? http://ebay.eu/2k2kr22
Yes that's very similar if not the same thing. This seems to be a much easier task in the gen 2 :/ Hopefully somebody will educate us, haha
To any and all: Is the main motive for changing the cover because it's getting soiled? I've found this stuff good: Using your own brush, say an old toothbrush, often works better than than the brush on the cap.
Well, thanks for sharing on the incorrect Prius version forum, but I'll be honest.. the result is very average.
