I have two problems. The first is that my wife sometimes detaches the rear hatch seal when she drags the stroller out of the back hatch. She does not notice this and it causes the spare tire well to fill up with water and later ice. Has anyone solved this problem already? Did you add a small piece of seal? Where did you get it? The second problem is that the black plastic drain cover on the left side of the roof is detaching. It seems like it's normally held in with some sort of adhesive tape. Does anyone use some that works well?
A thought: Get a piece of carpet that is floppy and long enough to drape over the lip. Put the stroller on top of the carpet and fold the edge of the carpet in after it. The folded part helps keep the stroller from sliding back against the rear hatch when driving. To remove, fold the carpet down over the lip and drag the stroller out. I have an old shag rug from the late 1960s era that I use that way when hauling lawnmowers, Xmas trees, etc.
I use my G3 for cargo ops quite a bit, and I use the rear floor mat as a pad for the hatch seal when I'm loading something bulky (like a pram) However (comma!) this might be a marital/training issue and the kid is going to be stroller-free in a few short years and marriage counseling is expensive and time consuming. Try this instead:
FWIW I have a furniture pad in the back of our Prius v to protect the cargo floor area when I carry large items and to cover luggage while traveling.
I actually get free marriage counseling through work but I think I'll go with the E-6000. It says it's amazing right on the box. Thanks all for the replies.
