So I went through one of those car washes where it dries the car using these high power dryers. One of the rubber thingy's in the track on top of the roof absolutely went flying off while the other one was sticking up in the air. I can put them back on in the clips but I know in similar circumstances, the same thing is going to happen again. So what can I do to make sure these rubber parts stay where they should?
They make trim that fits in that Groove if I remember I just three quarter inch and just tuck it under the windshield rubber with a little bit of extra glue silicone to keep it down about the graphite Style or you can get the spring-loaded stuff the dealer sales at a junkyard Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The rubber is in good shape so at this point I'm thinking of just adding some adhesive to help it stay in the track. Sound good?
Do you have the spring it kind of stretches and hold it on but you could glue it they make plumber silicone super strong and just make sure you talk under the windshield where the most when will hit it and work your way back Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
It notched so the top Edge sits on top of the window rubber and there's a notch where that little piece sticks out in the rubber so it lays flat Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
There held down with a spring pull back and lift to remove don't let go or it will fly and land on hood Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Think it was $10 on eBay for the aftermarket they wanted $60 for the one rubber piece with spring which didn't match the same color as the other side that was faded Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
So what I find out was I have clips... only I am missing at least one clip on each side. I see one clip in front on the drivers side and one clip in back on the passenger side. The rubber looks to be in great shape. First of all I think I'm going to need to find some clips but I wouldn't mind seeing a link where you bought your stuff on Ebay.
I just 3/4 trim and where there is clips you'll have to draw out some of the rubber so it lays perfectly flat then a little bit of silicone plumber's goop stuff Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
