I'm guessing that he's gone radio silent for the same reason that certain unnamed people in this forum stopped posting deal prices....

People have this quaint idea that Toyota values the customer.....which isn't always the case. They VALUE selling cars. There's no shame in that, since the good people over in Aichi need to eat and sleep indoors and send their kids to private schools just like the rest of us. However (comma!) one needs to remember that it's the DEALERS that sell the cars, and Toyota's relationship with its dealers is......well......complicated. This is one of the many reasons that it pays to cast a very wide net when shopping for cars, since there will often be thousands of dollars of difference in pricing. MORE than enough for me to get on a plane and fly to get a car if I have to.
