So has anyone tried one of the stick on lights to act as a back dome light? I saw a thread that talked about changing the front lights to LEDs but I'm scared that's not going to be enough light. My 2 year is always dropping things and I doubt that's going to really help. Plus I'm not that mechanically savvy to be messing with wires and all that lol. What do you guys think of a stick on light that I can just stick up there and tap when I need it? The only problem I can foresee is that the heat might cause a problem. Either with the battery or the double sided tape. But I was thinking of something likes this or maybe this one Thoughts? Suggestions? Advice? Thanks.
The links in both postings look fine to me from my laptop. They do not show up browsing with Safari from my iPhone. I have seen that before. I think the forum software expects you to use the app.
Interesting. I see it on my phone with safari but I was at work (ha!) and using chrome when I posted it so maybe that was it.
I usually have no issue with Chrome on a PC at home or work. Perhaps some firewall or web filtering was blocking.
It would be easy to add a dome light, just tap one of the map lights, run a wire to desired location by snaking it through the headliner with a wire hanger or something, buy a dome light for a liftback and wire it to the wire, cut out a hole in the headliner in desired location. LED COB lights are pretty bright, why not go for something like that. Installation is quite straight forward. Remove the outer cover, pop the existing light out and insert the adjustable LED power connector & test. If not working reverse the polarity on the adjustable LED power connector. Try something like: New White 48 SMD COB LED T10 4W 12V Car Interior Panel Light Dome Lamp Bulb | eBay
