Hopefully our president can start a war with China or some gulf country. Then prime is kicking butt.

I got my Prime Premium on 12/19 - I live in Pa and the temps were low 20s-30s at the time. My projection and range in EV was in the low 20s generally. Gradually the projection and range creeped up to 25 or so. I am down here in NC for a couple of months - the temps are in the mid 30s to 65 or 70. My projections in EV are now 30 or 31 and my actual high has been 33.4. I haven't gotten below 30 in EV since I've been here (2 weeks). My speeds have been <55MPH and mostly stop and go. Love it!

I bought my Prime on December 3rd. Like Kevin54 said, I got 25 mile EV range at first, but now I am getting 30 - 31 mile EV range. It did go down to 28 when I have the climate control on ECO setting. I am currently on my original tank of gas with 1650 miles on the odometer and getting an average of 193 mpg. At the rate I am going, I will see a gas station in about 2 1/2 months from the time I bought the car with about 2000 miles on the odometer!!

I've been getting about 26 miles with some hills thrown in as I'm in San Francisco with a 50:50 mix of city and slower highway. Makes it back and forth to work on one charge which is 24 miles round trip. So for >500 miles and haven't used one bar on the gas gauge...

Not sure other than when I fill up and see how much I actually used. Currently I have the same mileage on both of my trip odometers and the odometer and all read the same mpg. Dealership filled up the gas tank before I took it home. So I assume it was completely full when I got it.

My point is that this car can tell you lots of useful information but I can't find any setting or place where it tells you the amount of gas used. Ex: you've traveled 600 miles, used 1.8 gallons of gas and xxx electricity. If there is, I can't find it.

It does tell me that I use 85% electricity.

I started with 18 miles of electric range and was very disappointed. I am not sure if the car calculates electric range based on driving habits or the battery needed a break-n period. I have been getting 33-34 miles over the past few weeks now (got the car about a month ago). Very happy with the range and I like that it's a super efficient car that can also get out of its own way when needed (although the range will drop quickly).

not sure, but a scan gauge might tell you how much gas. there are some things toyota would prefer to keep in the dark.

Get out of its own way, I like that, and, It does do that. Best Iv done on a charge is 29.5 miles and I thought that was good. Today, 30.3 miles, weather has improved, maybe that is the difference.

Thought of this the other day while driving my wife's Prime. She reset the Trip odometer when she filled up for the first time. She's currently at 555 miles and it says average MPG was 124. Wouldn't you thing that she used approx. 4.47 gallons of gas?

On one full charge, indicated 25-30 miles. Actual miles vary by temperature with a bigger hit below 45F.

True (pending the accuracy of the system), but only if the mpg report is less than 199.9, if it is still on 199.9 you don't know.
    Example:
If out those 555 miles, 500 are EV grid miles and only 55 used gasoline consuming, let's say, 1 gallon then the system calculates 555/1=555 and displays199.9 mpg.
Similarly, if the split is 445+110 using say ~2 gallons, the system calculates 555/2=277.5 and displays the same 199.9 mpg.

199.9 mpg represents anything between 199.9 and infinity...

If you have an Advanced you can get a number up to 999 rather than just 199.9 by using the Prime Apps on a smartphone.

I have been in sub freezing temps for much of the month (when I drive that is) and we are getting about 20 miles on EV We do have our heat on at 68 and the seats and steering wheel also. I am generally real pleased with this range given how much of our climate systems are running. When it gets above about 40 we can turn off the heat in the car and just use the seats and steering wheel heater and see how that goes. Right now it looks like I will have to refuel at about 1500 miles, I was hoping to make it to 2100 but not this run. I am also hoping that when it gets warming the car will make it up the hill on our way home without the engine kicking on. This really kills our mileage as the car won't turn the engine back off until it has completed its warm-up cycle so it stays on for at least a mile longer than it has any business being on.
