I do not know, my son was over in the late cold snap, hauled a solid frozen water bottle out of his car. We were freezing, doing an oil change on it, lol. And this is west coast, exceptionally cold for us.

Have you needed to put over-rider springs on the back suspension to support your critical mass yet - if not, it's not quite CRITICAL.

One could read this as well wrt how much stuff is in the trunk (and how it probably affects fuel consumption...).
What compressor is that? does it work well? I am trying to find a portable air compressor that works from the cigarette lighter port, to inflate my tires, instead of driving to a gas station. It seems the air compressor that comes with the Prius without a spare tire works only if you use the spare tire kit foam.

I have a great one which came with my FORD FIESTA - you might be able to get one from a Wrecking Yard seeing FIESTA is a huge seller in UK. My FIESTA originally wasn't supplied with a spare tyre - but I bought the optional spare, and the pump with GOO wouldn't fit any more (foam packing had to be removed). It works WITHOUT the goo, and works well, will pump from almost flat to 35PSI in a bit over a minute, has a little gauge which is remarkably accurate and an on/off switch unlike some which need the plug to be pulled in/out. Guessing, it's about 7"x6"x2".

I loved the underfloor storage cabinet in my 2010 liftback. Great for shopping bags, window cleaner and towels, and an emergency hiking blanket. But what I miss the most is the way it was designed with flat, overlapping panels level with the rear bumper. So easy to fold down the rear sears, and slide almost anything over the sturdy flat bed. Think Volvo 200 series wagons, so popular in the nineties with caterers.

    This one:

It's rechargeable, but also work from the cigarette lighter port.

Has worked as expected over the last year or so.

BTW, today is my Prius 1st Anniversary. I wonder if my wife will have a cake waiting for me tonight :). She so wanted another Prius in the drive, rather than a BMW!

There seems to be a lot of spare wheel and polystyrene foam surround kits on Ebay for other vehicles, but alas none for the Gen 4 Prius yet.

I definitely feel the same. I had a 2010 Prius II I got with 4 miles on it. Just traded the other day for a 2017 4 Touring In white with black leather. Love the new car but. We lost upper glove box. Lower storage under shifter, under trunk space and Now just noticed the battery vent is where I like to put a bunch of bags on the passenger floor under the seat instead of on the arm space. Kind of annoyed I lost all my covered storage space. and a spare tire. I wish at the least the glove box could lock. I hate the fact the seats dont fold flat either. Also realized there is no cig lighter in the front by the qi charger its towards in the back and then one in the back seat. Why at the least did they not put it inside the storage under my arm as well. I have never been so unexcited about owning a new car in my life. I miss my old one. But a Prius is the greatest car in the world in my opinion no matter what it looks like. I went 167k miles and all I did to that car was oil changes/tire rotations, Air filters and a couple door lock actuators and a new ac blower motor. I fixed those myself for a total repair cost of under $100. That car never once let me down. I was convinced it would last 300k miles but I wanted to upgrade. Kind of wish I would have gotten the Prime but didnt want the added electricity cost. I average 47.9 mpg through the life of that car with avg trips of 52 mpg. It is going to take some getting use to but I will be ok. No real complaint here. I think I got a killer deal on the new one.

^ Good review. And you're still positive!

I just wish Toyota would heed reports like this, from 4th gen owners, not a standing-on-the-sidelines 3rd gen'r either.

I just completed an online survey of new Prius for Toyota and reported all those perceived failings in the new Gen 4 car. However I did tell them that, overall I love it, so they they may just laugh and tear up the report!
