did get the dealer to toss in film guard though failed to get those thin plastic rubber edge door trim pieces nor did I get side body door protection guards. like the look of the car without either though as we all probably know you can simply look at the car and the paint seems to chip off. back in the old days, before Toyota changed their paint process, Toyota paint was hard to chip. So... 1. for you sea mist color prius 2016/17 owners (might be sea glass...anyway light green color). what say you for door edge trim protection. I have already dinged two of the door edges without really trying. should I just couch up the stupid money and get Toyota brand? 2. are the side door trim protection bars worth the expense? I am certain they are even more expensive no doubt. ride safe, I am really liking my car color and on the couch thus don't even wish to double check my car color lol. even now like the black fake leather mostly.
I have the same question for the 2017 Four. Should we get the clear film door protectors or something more substantial before the doors get really banged up?
I like the 3M film, but it won't stop denting, just paint damage. They have a much thicker type they can put on the door edges. It's expensive though.
I have both the door edge guards and door moldings as came new with the car. I don't entirely get why the door edge guards are needed but I appreciate the moldings. I believe they'll avoid dings over the years. 3M door edge guards sound enticing. I think money better spent is a clear bra for the front bumper, hood and backs of the door mirrors. That's my next mission hopefully this week!
