I just noticed this today, so I believe it should be a fairly recent problem. I have no idea what could cause this. It is the front driver side tire. One thing to note is that my inner fendera has been pulled completely out by that tire way back in September I believe. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I would check: correct wheel size? tyre size and aspect-ratio? tyre pressure? alignment? (in that order) Good luck! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
...Oh, and look for anything dangling where it shouldn't be dangling! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The only thing is, these tires are at the end of their lives, and I just now noticed it Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I'll usually see tread wearing out at the inside edge, due to negative rear camber, which is by design. In layman's terms: the rear wheels (slightly) splay outwards at the bottom, intentionally, to keep the rear end more stable during cornering. It's akin to keeping a wide spaced leg stance, to avoid being tipped over. The result though, is the inner edge of tread goes bald a bit sooner. All that aside, your wear is the opposite, lol. And a narrow band, there's actually more tread right at the edge. So, stumped. Something in the internal structure of the tire failing? Time for new, and maybe the tireshop will have some ideas.
Not a clue. The wheels are the right size and ratio, nothing seems to be rubbing. Tires hope said that the front tires (which this one is) have a bit of a duck stance going on. My friend thinks maybe I scraped a curb, but I don't think I have...idk... Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
