If you get a Prius you're going to have to get into the habit of checking your oil....or at least getting it changed every 5,000 instead of every 10,000 miles. Many threads on this. You don't have to be anal about. I do mine about every other fill-up which is once in 1,000 miles or so.
My take: if you've got minor oil consumption, say requiring a pint top-up somewhere between oil changes, and it stays at that level, isn't getting worse, or only very gradually increasing: where's the harm?
I'm not sure about that - mine is still FULL on the dipstick at 9400km. Possibly if you keep it into higher kilometres?
I want to thank everyone for their input, much appreciated! Now that I've been paying attention I'm seeing Pri's all over the place! This one, not sure what year but man, they must be hitting everything in sight because I never seen so much tape on a car lol.
