Started getting this warning message every time I shut the car off. Was in my dealership for an oil change today, and they were clueless as to what it meant. They changed the battery on my fob, which did nothing. Technicians said they'd "never seen that one before," and I can't find anything relevant online either - Surely someone else has experienced this?!
check your 12v i suppose. i don't understand dealers. if they can't figure something out, don't they have a hotline to toyota?
The Prius C manual indicates that this could be a problem either with the smart key or with the steering wheel lock system. Have you tried switching to the other smart key to see if it gives the same message?
