Had a Great Time last weekend at the 2016 All ToyotaFest 21st Anniversary Celebration !!!

The "Navigation System Visor & Smart Phone Holder" from Car Mate



This item replaces my previous installed "Monitor Shade" from Beat Sonic
(Installed in 2010) *Please note, this product is no longer available from Beat Sonic*

Rubbing Alcohol and Microfiber Towel to Clean the mounting location from dirt and oil.

**Please Note, because of the design of this visor, access to the CD/DVD Screen Lift Up Feature will not be easily accessible unless the Visor/Holder is removed !!!**
**I personally almost never utilize the CD/DVD Screen to Insert/Remove Media so this is not a problem for me**




The Smartphone holder hood open and iPhone 4S inserted and secured with the sliding bracket feature





Overall, I am very pleased with the new Navigation System Visor & Smart Phone Holder from Car Mate. With the angle of the Screen this helps to alleviate any glare from above and helps to maintain clarity and visibility of the screen !!!

From Car Mate / Giga is the LED Daylight Lamp aka Day Time Running Lights (White LEDs) !!!



** This item is made specifically for the 2010-2011 Front Bumper fitment **

Base

** The System is designed to connect with the 12V connection in the Fuse Box located in the Engine Bay, and will automatically turn on/off when the vehicle is on/off **

** I wanted to be able to control the system on demand and therefore I modified the original system to suit what I desired **

Removal of the Winshield Wipers, Upper Cowl, Wiper Motor, and Lower Cowl.

(This bundle is shared with current 2 accessories wiring)



Through the Firewall and into the Cabin



With the Fuse, Power (+), Accessory, and Ground (-) Connections connected, the Mini-Switch was completed and joined the other Independently Controlled Accessory Switches !!!
(I relocated the existing Display Dimmer Switch to accommodate the New Switces)



From the Front

** Again, This product is designed to be fitted in the 2010-2011 Prius Lower Grille area, because I am utilizing the Five Axis / Five:AD Front Aero Kit, I had to modify the fitment **

HELLO Xterra72 !!!

I am not sure if these will fit the 2013+ Prius right out of the box because the design is made to fit the 2010-2011. But maybe with some modifications you may be able to make it work too !!!

HEY THERE PRIUSCHAT FOLKS !!!

The Latest Modification to the HB Prius came today !!!

From Japan came the Silk Blaze Trunk Lid Chrome Garnish



I am a big fan of subtle Chrome Accents to the Blizzard Pearl White color.

For the front end, I had previously installed the Kenstyle DLiner Chrome Grill Garnish ...





And so for the Rear Trunk Area, I wanted a Chrome Trunk Lid Garnish to continue.
There are several different Japanese aftermarket companies offering Chrome Lid Garnishes however, the Silk Blaze version stood out as it was a single piece design that wasn't too aggressive in looks.

Installation

Clean Mounting Surface with Isopropyl Alchohol



Alignment of the Silk Blaze Garnish and Five Axis method of 3M Molding Tape Installation




Once aligned, the clear protective film and 3M Molding tape backing was removed





After the installation it was time to remove the chrome badging, I wanted the rear deck to have minimal and subtle chrome rather than being too "busy"

Removal of the "Toyota", "Prius", and "Premium" badges




Cleaning and Reinstallation behind the "T" badge
