I don't really know, I just used an example figure of 12", the bottom of the lower rear window ledge is near there.
Yeah there are way more cool things on that website..... Ohh, do they do like brokering of the Japanese products that we don't have access to? Cool.
So, after reading through this thread, I asked my wife, who is only 5', to please come out to the garage and show me how she closes the hatch on our car. She did, and came off her heels a bit but, had NO trouble getting her fingers into the handle and closing the hatch. She asked me why we did this, then she laughed when I told her and said some people just need to exercise more.
i noticed the hand holds on the prime hatch were on the bottom, instead of inside. is the lift back on the bottom as well?
and are they the same height off the ground as prime? i had my wife lower the hatch before our test drive. she didn't have a problem, but she's 5'-5".
I don't know about the height of the handle, but I am about that tall and have no issue, with or without using the handle. I only looked for the handle out of curiosity due to this thread.
I'd like to get a Prime when I have to change in '19, but it don't think that option will be available on my scheme.
I am here on this really old thread. Because my not o tall wife in a particular driveway recently , could not reach the hatch on the 2017. Always one to go overboard on everything, I set to work. 1. Removed the plastic hatch interior piece (so a mount could be attached for a strap). 2. Used a type of fastener that looks like a pop-rivet, but adds a threaded hole, 6mm. 3. Used a D ring, but it could have been anything, and a piece of old tie down strap sewn in a loop. Found a picture of the official Japanese Toyota Hatch Strap. Why no tin the USA ?
If someone made one here in the US and tried to sell it using this forum. thay'd more than likely get at least 2 to 1 more complaints about it, than satisfied customer reviews. Most of them about some safety issue and or warranty the customized strap violates Nice looking strap, looks a lot like a neck tie. Your model must be the Prius (EU) executive trim
