When did they add the OEM traction control disable button?

Thank you Matt. As you correctly pointed out, I didn't lose control in the snow, I have no idea where bisco got that idea.
yes, I have a TC off button, but I didn't feel the need to use it.

I have a 2014 v 5 with moonroofs, and there is no TRAC disable button.

 

I wish the 2014 had a TRAC disable button.
I've used the "Brake; ON; P/2x gas; N/2x gas; P/2x gas; READY" method, but I would like to know what this actually does.
Does Maintenance Mode disable all of the Star Safety System elements??? [Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) Smart Stop Technology (SST), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), and Electronic Power Steering (EPS)???

 

Here's a video of Joseph Telmo from University of Toyota when they announced the v. Around 13:00 he gets a little technical, and mentions that the v has better cooling of the transaxle.

My question: what are the real concerns with disabling the TRAC using Maintenance Mode? Mendel Leisk says he shudders (and so do I) but does anyone have facts?
