    I got this msg yesterday when I started the car after almost 3 weeks. Its a Prius 3 gen from Japan. Can someone help translate what it means.

    Asked a friend.... roughly translates to

    "If auxiliary/supplementary battery (starter battery) is out of charge, check the manual".

    I only can understand some simple mandarin characters. It's saying "standby battery charging incomplete or insufficient. Please refer to user manual". Maybe in jap mean the 12v battery is weak?

    Thanks. I changed the starter battery and now its fine. The battery was weak when tested
